Manuel started playing guitar at around the age of 13. The self taught enthusiast joined his first band in high school. He started playing punk music and shortly after discovered the wonderful world of metal. It wasn’t until early high school when he discovered bands like Death, Cynic, Monstrosity, Nile, and Meshuggah that he really started to take guitar more seriously. Laboring day and night, he trained his ears and fingers by learning songs from trying to figure them out. The only learning tools available to him were CDs and VHS tapes of music videos. Manuel didn’t get his first big break until 2006 when he started playing for the band Manslaughter, (aka Dreaming Dead). Manslaughter had just released its first EP and was ready to hit the road and he was lucky enough to have joined them on that great adventure. In 2007, shortly after his first taste of the road, he decided to leave Manslaughter and set out to create a band of his own. Always joining bands had never let him have the creative outlet he needed so he sought to fix that.

Accompanied by his girlfriend at the time, Victoria Alvarez, they set out on a very long journey. After many years of line up changes and fine tuning their sound, they finally released or first EP in 2013. Manuel has continuously been developing his sound, guitar work, and song writing for the bands sophomore release. Once driven by his high school idols, Chuck Schuldiner and Paul Masvidal, he finds new inspiration in his second guitarist and wife, Victoria Villarreal.
